I was ecstatic when we confirmed we were having a boy. I say confirmed, because every instinct in my body said BOY BOY BOY. Or perhaps it was just a hope considering the headaches I dished out to my mom during the dreaded years 13-18 (thanks for sticking with me mom!). My only disappointment was the fact that boy clothes are hopelessly less cute than girl stuff. No bows, frills or glitter to be found, or at least none if I wanted to gain my husband's approval. We make up only a 1/3 of the Gap merchandise and then mainly stripes and navy. But low and behold, I found the cute!! It was hiding in the winter wear! Here are a few of my favorite additions to Chase's winter wardrobe.
Sweet new kicks from the Janie and Jack sale bin (there's no way I'm paying more for Chase's shoes than my own, considering they don't even have soles)
His aviator hat, a gift from my dear friend Caroline. Gap was thinking when they designed this hat, ear flaps and balls to hold it on.
Hooded play suit from Polarn O Pyret, a Swedish retailer in NYC. Apparently Swedish babes are humongous, because their clothes are very long.
Winter coat from my fave Target. Hard to see, but there are toggles instead of buttons for easy on, easy off.

See but anyone can walk into a store and find cute girl clothes. It's a challenge to find the cute boy stuff, but then such a sweet victory when you do! Check H&M next...Finn's suspenders came from there...love! Chase is the cutest, I love the stripes :)
